What a year 2009 was for the once dominant and powerful auto industry. Saturn and Pontiac are out. Fiat and Tesla are in. Two of the Big 3 ‘survived’ bankruptcy – and the verdict is still out on their long term fiscal viability. Nearly 1800 dealerships have or will close by this time next year. Ten million new cars were sold in 2008 versus 16 million in 2007, and it looks like this year’s results will be even worse. The economic and human trajectory of this demise, collapse and to a high degree, mismanagement, of the domestic leaders has yet to be truly calculated.
Of course, be sure to think about certifications. Make sure that the person or garage you are looking at taking your vehicle too is in fact certified to perform the services you need. If you are looking to get your car’s state inspection done, but they are not qualified to do so, then you will need to find someone else to perform this service. Certification also gives you piece of mind that they know how to fix your vehicle properly and they are well educated about different parts. Look for an ASE certification if possible. The highest possible certification out there is a Master ASE Technician, so if your bmw auto repair has this then you should be set.
Eric and I did get one whole day to spend together on my return trip to Houston. I can report that there is chemistry but am willing to take things slow to allow romance to blossom if it is meant to be.
Take your Kelly Blue Book with you so you do not pay over the top at the motor auction. Some people who go to the seized car auctions have little idea of the true market value and can get carried away with the bidding process. Having the Blue Book ensures you know when to just walk away. You just need the willpower to do it.
Most of us, then, show determination, focus and ingenuity if we are on a journey. We get help if necessary but we complete our journey. However, we are far too ready to give up when things do not go right for us in business or in our attempts to achieve our other goals.
Travis Sago, the article marketing expert, has stated correctly that we accept the delays caused by red traffic lights without getting out of our cars and giving up on our journey. But in other parts of our lives we give up too easily when we encounter even one ‘red light’ or obstacle. We, thus, fail to enjoy the results of completing these other ‘journeys’.
